Avon Fire & Rescue Service have selected Metz to intensify their Aerial fire fighting capabilities in the region with the purchase of two L27’s. The units will prove to be arguably the lightest, fastest and most agile aerial appliances throughout the UK, built on 15 tonne MAN short wheel base chassis’.

North Fire Managing Director Oliver North enthused, 'This delivery will show exactly what an aerial appliance should represent. With such a small, short wheel base chassis, the new appliances are better equipped to have the fastest possible response from an aerial, coupled with the fact that the turntable ladder deployment time is half of that of an ALP, any incidents requiring aerial fire cover will be dealt with far quicker and as efficiently than any other throughout the UK."
